
Karin is a licensed occupational therapist specialized in working with infants and young children. She has been practicing as a pediatric OT since 2000. Karin has focused her practice on home visiting after working in a wide variety of therapeutic settings, including early intervention centers, hospitals, schools, and clinics. She is a registered vendor with Regional Center East Bay.
She is a licensed feeding therapist with the California board of Occupational Therapy. Karin is a Level 1 certified Handwriting specialist with Handwriting Without Tears®. She also holds certifications in Integrated Listening Systems (ILS), Bal-a-Vis X, Perceptual Enrichment Program (PEP), Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Tactile Integration, and Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding. Karin received her Bachelors in OT from USC in 1999 and her Masters in OT from Tufts University in 2001.
Over the years Karin has had the pleasure of working with a variety of health care professionals and values a multidisciplinary approach. As a parent she has learned how to advocate for her own child's special needs. Her professional and personal experiences have committed her to helping others.
Karin believes in treating the child as a whole individual. She aims to find the just right challenge in order to help children become as independent as possible in their busy physical and emotional world.
